1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using 10x.wiki, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. These Terms apply to all visitors, registered users, and subscribers. If you are using the Service on behalf of a company or other legal entity, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When changes are material, we will notify you via email or a prominent notice on our website at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

2. Description of Service

10x.wiki is a digital Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform that provides AI-driven business insight discovery and startup opportunity analysis. Our Service aggregates and analyses publicly available information from over 271 authoritative global sources to surface high-value entrepreneurial opportunities.

The Service is delivered entirely online. It is an intangible digital product — there are no physical goods, in-person services, or human consulting involved. Access is granted upon successful subscription or account creation.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to use this Service. By agreeing to these Terms, you represent and warrant that you are 18 or older and are legally capable of entering into a binding contract. The Service is not available to individuals or entities subject to trade sanctions or export restrictions.

4. User Accounts

To access certain features, you must register for an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete registration information.
• Maintain and promptly update your account information to keep it accurate.
• Keep your password secure and confidential.
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorised access to your account.
• Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account.

We reserve the right to terminate accounts found to contain false or misleading information, or accounts used in violation of these Terms.

5. Subscription & Payment

Access to premium features requires a paid subscription. The following terms apply:

• Billing: Subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annually) depending on your selected plan.
• Payment Processing: All payments are securely processed by Paddle, our authorised Merchant of Record and payment service provider. Paddle handles all transactions, tax compliance, and payment data on our behalf.
• Price Changes: We reserve the right to change subscription prices with at least 30 days' advance notice. Price changes will not apply to your current billing period.
• Taxes: Applicable sales taxes, VAT, and similar levies are handled and remitted by Paddle in accordance with local law.
• Renewals: Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel before the renewal date.

6. Free Trial

We may offer a free trial period for new subscribers. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, you will be automatically charged for a paid subscription at the end of the trial. You are only eligible for one free trial per account. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue free trial offers at any time.

7. Cancellation & Termination

Cancellation by you: You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Your access will continue until the end of your current billing period, after which no further charges will be made. We do not issue partial refunds for unused time within a billing cycle, except where required by our Refund Policy.

Termination by us: We may suspend or permanently terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or abuse the platform. We will provide reasonable notice where possible, except in cases of serious violations.

Effect of termination: Upon termination, your right to access the Service will immediately cease. Sections covering intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law shall survive termination.

8. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not:

• Use the Service in any way that violates any applicable local, national, or international law.
• Scrape, crawl, or harvest data from the Service without our prior written consent.
• Use automated scripts or bots to access or interact with the Service.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other users' accounts or our systems.
• Upload or transmit viruses, malware, or any other malicious code.
• Reproduce, redistribute, resell, or sublicense any content from the Service without permission.
• Use the Service for any form of spam, phishing, or fraudulent communication.
• Misrepresent your identity or affiliation with any person or organisation.

9. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of the Service — including text, graphics, logos, icons, AI-generated analyses, data compilations, software, and underlying code — are owned by or licensed to 10x.wiki and are protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws.

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Service for your personal or internal business purposes. You may not copy, distribute, modify, display, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without our express written consent.

10. User Content

If you submit any feedback, suggestions, or other content to the Service, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, irrevocable licence to use, reproduce, modify, and distribute such content in connection with operating and improving the Service. You represent that you own or have the right to share any content you submit, and that it does not infringe third-party rights.

11. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please review it to understand how we collect, use, and protect your personal data.

12. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with third-party providers including Paddle (payments), Supabase (infrastructure), and various data sources. We are not responsible for the practices or content of these third-party services. Your use of third-party services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. Links to external websites do not constitute our endorsement.

13. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT ANY WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that (a) the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure; (b) any insights or analysis provided will be accurate, complete, or suitable for your specific business needs; or (c) the Service will meet your requirements. Any reliance on information provided through the Service is at your own risk. The Service does not constitute financial, legal, or investment advice.

14. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, 10x.wiki AND ITS OPERATORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES.

IN ANY CASE, OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU HAVE PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS IMMEDIATELY PRIOR TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) USD $50.

15. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless 10x.wiki and its operators from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, judgements, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

16. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall first be addressed through good-faith negotiation. If the dispute is not resolved within 30 days, either party may seek resolution through binding arbitration or the courts of competent jurisdiction.

17. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal requirements. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you by email. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically. Your continued use of the Service following notice of changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
